Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
LifeEdge is operated by Kelvin as an individual personal blog. Privacy practices described here apply only to this site and not to any third-party services you reach through external links. This Privacy Policy explains how LifeEdge (lifeedge.pro), operated by Kelvin as a personal blog, collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit the site or contact me. I am based in Singapore and handle data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and its subsidiary legislation, as applicable to a small personal website.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this website is Kelvin, writing as LifeEdge. You can reach me at [email protected], by phone at +65 6228 4708, or by post at Blk 118 Pasir Ris Street 11, #03-42, Singapore 510118. This is a personal blog — not a company, agency or registered business entity. There is no separate data protection officer; I handle enquiries myself.
2. What personal data I collect
Most of LifeEdge can be read without giving me any information. I do not operate user accounts, paid subscriptions, comment systems or mailing lists on this site. Personal data is collected only in these situations:
- Contact form: When you submit the form on /contact.php, I receive your name, email address and message content. You must tick the PDPA consent checkbox before submission; it is not pre-selected.
- Email or phone: If you write or call me directly using the details on this site, I receive whatever information you choose to share.
- Cookies: If you interact with the cookie banner, a small preference file may be stored in your browser (see Section 5).
- Server logs: Like most websites, the hosting provider may automatically record technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring page and access time. I do not use this data to identify individuals unless required for security or legal reasons.
I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under thirteen. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through the contact form, please tell me and I will delete it promptly.
3. Why I use your data and the legal basis
Under the PDPA, organisations must have a purpose for collecting personal data and must not use it beyond that purpose without consent or another valid basis. For LifeEdge, the purposes are narrow:
- To read and reply to your contact form message or direct enquiry.
- To correct factual errors you point out about a post or page.
- To remember your cookie preferences if you set them via the banner.
- To maintain basic site security and diagnose technical faults via server logs.
I do not sell personal data. I do not use your contact details for marketing, newsletters or advertising. I do not profile visitors or build audience segments. If I ever wanted to use data for a new purpose, I would update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
4. How long I keep data
Contact form submissions are kept in my email inbox for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward — typically up to twelve months — unless you ask me to delete them sooner or unless I need to retain a record of correspondence for legal reasons. Cookie preference data expires after six months from the date you set it, after which the banner will appear again on your next visit. Server logs are retained according to my hosting provider schedule, which I do not control directly but which is generally short-term.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
LifeEdge uses a cookie banner with three options: Accept all, Reject all, and Customise. Strictly necessary cookies are not used for tracking — the site functions without cookies except for storing your banner choice. If you accept or customise preferences, a cookie named lifeedge_consent may be written to your browser containing a JSON record of your choices (necessary, analytics, preferences, marketing). This cookie lasts six months and is stored with SameSite=Lax and site-wide path scope.
At present I do not embed third-party analytics, advertising pixels or social media widgets that set their own cookies. If that changes, I will update this policy and the cookie banner before enabling such tools. You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not block access to any page content.
6. Who receives your data
Personal data from the contact form is sent by email to my inbox at [email protected] (the operational address behind the contact form handler) and to [email protected] for correspondence. My hosting and email providers may process data on servers located outside Singapore. Where data crosses borders, I rely on their standard contractual protections and reasonable security practices. I do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers or social platforms.
7. Your rights under the PDPA
Under the PDPA you may request access to personal data I hold about you, ask for corrections if data is inaccurate, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also ask me to delete contact form correspondence, subject to any legal obligation to retain it. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with enough detail for me to locate your message. I will respond within a reasonable time, typically within thirty days.
8. Security
I take reasonable steps to protect personal data — secure hosting, limited access to my email inbox, and no unnecessary collection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; I cannot guarantee absolute security, but I treat contact messages as private correspondence rather than public content.
9. Links to other sites
LifeEdge may link to external websites for reference. I am not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before submitting data to them.
10. Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy when the site changes or when law requires it. The last updated date at the top will change accordingly. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy for new interactions; material changes to how contact data is used will be highlighted on the contact page.
